Reporting for the Public Good. I guess that is what I am doing with this blog, or at least, that is the class this blog is for. It is a nice intention, too. Reporters often get a bad reputation for writing with an agenda, but I can assure you that on this blog I will only post facts and I will only write with the intention to inform and assist society.
My Name is Noelle Clemente. I am a junior at Elon University. I am studying Journalism with a minor in Art. Upon graduation, I hope to work somewhere where I know my work is making a difference. I believe in humankind. I believe in the beauty of the world. I believe in the good in people.
I spent my summer interning in New York City and learned a great deal about myself. I have returned to the Communications school with wider eyes and am very excited about this class and the opportunities it presents.
I hope you return to this page and regularly read my blog because, like I said, my intention is to report good. No, that is not a grammatical error, I meant ‘good.’ There are a great many tragedies in our world, but I believe it is important to shed light on the positive things as well.
I cannot say with total conviction that this will be I will, as this blog is for class. Regardless, I hope that you enjoy my writing. I am excited to share!
